As your Representative, I will:

Focus on people and policies, not politics.

Decisions made in Charleston affect the lives of people in the 82ndDistrict every day. I will be your voice – you can call or email me any day to share ideas, concerns or give me your input on any issue. (Don’t wait until the election – you can reach out today at BillRegerNashforHouse@gmail.com ) I’ll also work to help people and businesses in the district cut through red tape and delays in state agencies: everyone deserves to be treated with respect by their government.

Promote good jobs and economic development.

Our community has low unemployment and wonderful employers. But many hard-working people struggle to meet daily expenses and are only one illness or layoff away from economic disaster.  Work should bring people out of poverty, not keep them in it. I support our local employers and anyone who will promote good-paying union jobs in West Virginia. And I’ll fight for good roads and other infrastructure serve our growing community.

Support education and healthcare.

We’re lucky to have good schools and health resources in Monongalia County. Talented, hard-working teachers and health workers are the backbone of our community and our local economy. I’ll support policies that reward people for their hard work and make sure everyone can access the education they need to become successful and the care they need to remain healthy.

Strengthen emergency services and helping professions.

West Virginians overwhelmingly say we should support law enforcement and families in crisis. But our state has long shortchanged the police, sheriffs, fire departments, EMTs, prison guards, social workers, drug and alcohol recovery staff, and child protection workers who do the hard work of helping our neighbors in crisis situations. I will fight to give these heroes adequate pay and resources to do their jobs.
